So let me save everyone some trouble who did their research.
Spec really outdid themselves from when they first started manufacturing these til now. A while back I had one in my 2017 Honda Civic SI and absolutely HATED how it felt, their customer service was atrocious back then and I ended up going back to a OEM clutch.
Fast forward to recently. A friend of mine told me to give them another shot and that they had improved DRASTICALLY in their materials and how they talk to their customers. I started off ordering a stage 1 clutch and flywheel combo because I DEMOLISHED my OEM clutch. After a week or so of emails between Corey and I wondering when my part was going to ship, I ended up calling them (Spec), and had the pleasure of speaking with Dan.
Dan had informed me that it would be two months before I would even see the part because the flywheel was back ordered. However after I explained my circumstances, Dan really helped me out and it went a long way. He searched high and low through the warehouse to see which part would fit my car that he currently had in stock, and had it packed and ready to ship same day.
Little to my knowledge I was not getting what I ordered. Rather than a stage 1 kit with the steel SMF for the SI, I would receive the stage 2 type R kit with the steel SMF conversion (Type R to SI).
Installation was perfect and everything fits like a glove. The clutch itself really holds onto everything with no slipping or noticeable chatter. You will not be disappointed in this product.
