The new center spring comes with a clear plastic covering around the centering spring to help protect the spring and keep it centered with greater ease. It was a very easy install but plan on it taking you much longer then the instructions say because disassembling the entire center console takes quite a bit of time if you have never done it before.
These bushings are really great looking and much better looking then the OEM rubber and steel bushings that come stock on the car. Keep in mind if you haven't taken apart your center console before it's going to take longer then the estimated 60-90 mins that the instructions estimate for this part. I have the 2019 Si and I thought these bushings might be noticable after I changed the stock bushings out for these ones. I'm glad I installed these beautiful bushings but I'm all honesty I can't feel any different in the feel when shifting and I also upgraded my center spring on the shifter as well. They look great though and they well definitely outlast the stock bushings for sure
