2019 1.5T Honda Accord Stud Replacement

Based on all the online conversations about the growing number of blown head gaskets in the 1.5T Accord, I decided a little preventative maintenance on my 93K mile Accord might be a wise move. Purchased a set of ARP studs from TSP and installed & torqued them - one at a time on advice from TSP. The whole investment was just under $400 for parts and a day's labor. Car continues to run great, and I hope it does for many years! Thanks guys.

Spendy but so is a head gasket failure

These are not cheap but having a head gasket fail is not cheap either. Hopefully these will keep my L15 engine trouble free for some time.

ARP headstuds

These are way better quality than the OEM. Putting them on was a little tuff and definitely recommended the Wonderland racing cam plate to put on with it.

After years of waiting, a proper head stud kit is now available for the L15 1.5L turbocharged engine found in many 2016+ Honda vehicles. No more stacked washers, no more giant spacers. 

TSP's 1.5T Head Stud Kit was custom manufactured by ARP and is a TSP exclusive product. The head studs are made from ARP2000 and are the only proper length stud available for this engine. Also included in the kit is a set of ARP nuts and washers as well as a packet of ARP's assembly lubricant.
