Before I bought my Integra Type S, I had a 2010 Subaru Legacy GT. I wanted a Civic Type R, but they were marked up like crazy and I couldn’t justify that. My local Acura dealer is great, so I was stoked when the Type S was announced, and I got lucky with landing a pre-order. My first car was a 1993 Cadillac DeVille (FWD V8), and I was looking to get rowdy like that again…so it didn’t take me long to start modifying this thing.

I did a lot of the work but could not have done it alone! Many friends helped along the way. I didn’t do the suspension, rigid collars, or RV6 rear components. Maybe if I had a lift, but I don’t. My favorite modification must be the turbo, but the PRL RMM is super practical and would be my go-to if I had to pick one. It’s hard though, because I also love my Hybrid Racing shifter set up with AC Delco MTF fluid. I’m waiting on Chasing J’s to release their shift boot delete and Mugen to release their FL5 steering wheel. I have Paragon P3 pads with titanium shims to replace my stock pads soon. The rears are about toast, and I’ll probably just swap the fronts too while I’m at it. Other than that, maybe a Full Race HPFP? Bigger rear rotors? I’m not sure, so I’m trying to chill for a while.

Highlights of the car:
- The community is awesome
- It feels special to drive
- It’s an absolute monster in the twisties
- Pretty easy to work on
- K Series motor <3
- Turbo go woosh
- No frills: this car is for driving!

Lowlights of the car:
- Panel fitment
- Tiny gas tank

My favorite memory with this car was driving it off the lot for the first time. It was my first new car purchase, so finally picking it up and driving it was a big deal to me. My least favorite member was when I spilled a ton of coffee with milk into the cupholders. It seeped down and I had to remove the entire center console to ensure I got all the milk out. There haven’t been many notable setbacks. I’m working on a little fitment issue right now, but it’s a small thing. I also got rear ended last week, so that sucks, but the car is still drivable, and no one was hurt, so I can’t complain.
