I've been working on cars all my life starting with my first car in high school. A 1967 Mustang with a 302 (4.9L) Windsor V8 from a 1972 Maverick. A buddy and I installed a Weber 8-stack, and it had real magnesium wheels. More recently, I had a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 with a cold air intake, GReddy blow off valve, CorkSport High Pressure Fuel Pump Internals, Downpipe, Exhaust, Megan Racing EZ Coilovers, COBB AccessPort, and a COBB Stage 2 tune. After my son bought his 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T, I started looking for one. Unfortunately, the dealer didn’t have any colors that I liked for months…until I found out that Corey traded in his Accord, and then I immediately jumped on it. I called my salesman, Kuzie, at my local Honda dealer and inquired about it. He said, “Sure, we have it. Want to come take it for a test drive?” I said, “No, I already know all about the car; I just need to know how much you’re asking for it.” The next day, I went to pick up my new Honda.

The performance in a stock Accord 2.0T is pretty good, but Corey made it awesome. Two Step built and tuned the car prior to me purchasing it. Shortly after purchasing it, my son and Corey installed the exhaust for me. I'm truly spoiled. The quad tips look great, and the sound is impressive. As far as further modifications go, I have no other plans unless Wes catches up to me in HP. Overall impressions of this platform: LOVE IT! The highlights of the car would be the engine mods, suspension, big brakes, etc…this car is near perfection! The only thing I severely dislike is the Collision Mitigation Braking System feature. It overreacts to my driving style. My least favorite memory with this car is getting my first speeding ticket in 20 years and realizing I was going to have a car note again after not having one for five years.
My favorite memory by far is when I went to the Tail of the Dragon back in March 2023. There was an event there that’s been going on for years with hundreds of Civics, Accords, and other Hondas called CivicX+ Wake the Dragon. The turns were fun, the scenery was beautiful, and the companionship was truly unmatched. If you haven’t gone to one of these events, then you should consider going to one! There is one coming up April 4th – April 7th in 2024. (More info here!)
