Before I bought the 2023 Honda Civic Type R, I had a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T. I always liked the Type R idea, but to me, the FK8 styling was too much. I sold my Accord almost 2 years ago knowing I'd get the Type R or TLX Type S to replace it. I just had to be extremely patient and save up to put a down payment on it when it came in. I'm extremely an impatient person. When I saw the FL5, I instantly loved how it evolved into a more mature version of it. But..I can't help myself, every car, I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE I own is modified. I take what the manufacturer designed and make it my own, tastefully.
Modifications
RV6 Frontpipe
OEM Forged Wheels
OEM Carbon Fiber Wing
Most of the modifications I do myself. Sometimes, I will get some help from EZ Motorsports in Colorado. I can't pick a favorite modification. I like them all! I plan to upgrade my fuel system when it's available. My favorite memory with this car is when I surprised my 3 daughters with the car and seeing their reaction. My least favorite memory would have to be getting two flat tires within 5k miles of owning it.
What are the highlights and lowlights of this car?
Highlights: Mature styling yet serious about its intentions. Comfortable as a daily driver. Spacious cargo and passenger area. Great on fuel!
Lowlights: The cost, while I love the car, I feel it's being priced quite high by the majority of the dealerships.
