I’ve had a few different cars over the years, ranging from my 2016 Fiesta ST, 2009 Nissan 370z, and my most recent 1999 Mazda Miata! I never really saw myself buying a Civic Type R, but after working with Two Step Performance for the last few years, I found that I really enjoyed the platform and its capabilities. So, with new intentions, I traveled 2,000 miles round-trip to pick up my Championship White FK8 in October of 2024. After experiencing a 2.0T platform through friends and family, I started getting the itch to build a car capable of track days and long road trips.
The CTR has blown my expectations out of the water.

I plan to do the Hybrid Racing Short Throw Shifter, Hybrid Racing Shifter Cables, Silver's Neomax Coilovers, Hondata FlashPro with ECU Unlock, and TSP HEDP in the near future! Eventually, I would like to be FBO and install the new RV6 Antisurge / T51R Turbo Kit with a Custom e-Tune from DRob...but that is further down the line.
I’ve worked closely with the team at TSP to install nearly all of the parts on the car currently. My favorite modification so far is the COBB Accessport and Stage 1 tune. With a tune, this car feels absolutely amazing; like it should have from factory. The drivetrain on this car is a huge highlight along with the near perfect factory bucket seats. I've owned the car for nearly three months now, and I'm not sure that I've found any dislikes other than the factory styling (red steering wheel, red trim alongside the lip kit, etc.). This car has been a blast, and I can't wait to build something that I'm proud of.
I have yet to have a least favorite memory or setback with the CTR. My favorite memory with the car is when I picked up the car and drove straight to the Tail of the Dragon in less than 10 hours of ownership. I can't wait to take it back up there in March with TSP to CivicX+ Wake the Dragon (though, I may have to get some new rotors, pads, and brake lines before then, haha). It's going to be a blast!
