It has always been a dream/goal of mine to own a Honda Civic Type R. I knew that if I got one, it would not be stock for long. A Spoon build was always a goal, but not necessarily obtainable being a married father of two boys. The car is absolutely amazing from top to bottom in stock form. I just knew I needed to put my fingerprint on it to make it my own and make it stand out from all the rest of them.

Next on the list is the RV6 R660 Turbo, XDI Injectors, Hondata Low Pressure Fuel Pump, and as many of the TSP dress up bolts as I can. I really like all of the Verus Engineering stuff; it works well by adding downforce and styling to the already aggressively styled FK8. I have installed all of my modifications myself besides the Spoon springs; they were installed by a friend/Master Tech at Honda. My favorite memory of the car has to be any memory that has my family in it. My 5-year-old is always asking if "we are taking the R" or "Dad's Racecar". My 17-year-old is always down for a day run in the mountains. The only setback is the "Type R Tax" - the fact that everything is expensive to change or modify on this car. I truly love this car; it is by far one of the best cars I have ever owned.
